Distance Markers: Canal du Nord

The distance markers on this 95-kilometre long canal take the form of plastic posts as it is a relatively modern canal from the 1960s, although in some places the distance is also painted onto the concrete sloping sides. The distances shown in kilometres and half kilometres are the distances from the canal's northern end at Arleux where it connects with the Canal de la Sensée down to where it meets the Canal latéral à l'Oise at Pont l'Éveque.
