The Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne runs for 224 kilometres from Vitry-le-François in the north down to meet the Saône in the south at Heuilley-sur-Saône. We have only been on the northern side where we saw kilometre stones measuring the distance from Vitry-le-François.
