The Grand Union canal is an amalgamation of several canal companies formed in the 1920s in face of competition.  This page shows milestones for each of the original canals.

Grand Junction canal (Brentford to Braunston)

Market Harborough arm


This arm heads off the Leicester line down to Market Harborough

This part of the Grand Union runs from Leicester down to Norton Junction.







Welford arm

This arm leads off the Leicester line for 1 3/4 miles down to Welford.



Wendover arm

This arm runs for 6 3/4 miles from the top of the Wilstone flight on the Grand Union down to Wendover.
